Join the team to help deliver FA Events‘On The Road'
We are excited to be searching for an FA Events Coordinator on a 9-month fixed-term basis. The purpose of this role is to ensure that FA ‘on the road' (OTR) stadia-based matches are delivered within the associated budget, timeframe, and regulatory framework.
The role holder, in collaboration with the FA Event Manager for OTR matches, will develop and maintain strong relationships with event stakeholders and will ensure that matches are effectively planned and delivered. The role will predominantly focus on England matches away from Wembley, based at stadia across the country, including, but not limited to England Senior Men's, England Senior Women's, Under 21's level through to England's men's and women's development squads.
This role will also require working during evenings and weekends, as well as some travel around England.
What will you be doing?
1. Work closely with the FA Event Manager – OTR to proactively collaborate with the wider event delivery team in match and venue operational planning, coordination, administration, and quality delivery of OTR stadium events.
2. Build and maintain strong, collaborative, working inter-departmental relationships and with a wide range of diverse external stakeholders including host clubs, competing teams, UEFA/FIFA match representatives, event agencies and suppliers.
3. Liaising with our Branding, Merchandise, Transport, Sports Presentation and Fan Experience agencies and suppliers from operational planning through to onsite delivery and derig of their respective functional area.
4. Collaborating with FA colleagues and host venue contacts to review stadium facilities and apply project-overlay arrangements and track all project issues and action points communicated to the stadiums.
5. Support with the process of stadium approaches and the contracting with host clubs for potential fixtures. Providing ongoing support of all OTR Venue Hire Agreements across matches, including the regular revision of requirements across FA stakeholders, ensuring a consistent model is followed.
6. Deliver the match management role for assigned England Development team fixtures. Providing operational support to both teams, liaising with key FA departments to facilitate all matchday activities, and ensuring the venue's readiness is on track to stage the match. There will also be a requirement to work with Broadcast, where applicable, to manage the countdown to kick-off (CDTKO) at the event.
7. Provide ongoing administration of ‘Virtual Venue', an online venue database platform that will hold all key venue information for FA Events to assist future planning and event reporting.
8. Assist with planning and conducting all venue site visits as required and provide related administrative support including circulating stadium information questionnaires, collating site visit notes and photos and ensuring ‘Virtual Venue' is updated accordingly.
9. Management of specific agreed OTR project areas, taking responsibility for end-to-end administration of tasks such as, but not limited to, financial match reconciliations, event pre-briefs and debriefs, venue document database and our host venue hospitality programme.
10. Work with the FA Events team to identify improvements, innovation and growth opportunities for OTR fixtures and maximise the consistency and efficiency of matches in support of winning England teams.
11. Support the delivery of ad-hoc requirements as determined by the FA Event Manager – On the Road and Head of FA Events in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
What are we looking for?
Essential Skills
12. Experience in planning and delivering high-profile sporting events preferably within football/stadium environments.
13. Experience in managing multiple projects and deadlines.
14. Experience of providing administrative support to multiple team members.
15. Ability to understand and interpret event budgets.
16. Proficient skills in Microsoft Office.
17. Flexible approach to working hours and willingness to travel.
Desirable Skills
18. Experience working on UEFA/FIFA competitions.
19. Experience working in venue operations.
20. Strong financial skills.
21. Relevant degree or similar qualification advantageous.
22. IOSH/NEBOSH qualification or similar.
23. Basic knowledge of crowd dynamics and crowd management principles.

Our Organisation

We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We will continue to monitor this model and it may be adjusted in future if deemed necessary.
