The role involved reporting to the Category Manager or Business Partner and supporting the development and execution of category strategies within agreed supply categories.
Responsibilities include gathering data on spend, volume and service needs in preparation for the eRFx/eAuctions, maintaining regular contact with key stakeholders and Procurement Business Partners to promote category strategy, understanding business needs, and driving compliance. The role requires maintaining KPIs and metrics to measure the performance of annual savings and supplier performance within the category. You will work as part of a team and occasionally take the lead on relevant subject matter experts.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Managing the project pipeline and reporting / forecasting within the Provalido savings tracker.
* Monitoring the contract renewal pipeline and supporting the Category Manager in the creating, extension or cessation of Master Framework Agreements.
* Evaluating, selecting, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers.
* Supporting Accounts Payable with payable issues when escalated to the central procurement team, facilitating remedial discussions between AP, Business Unit Operations.
* The expected outcomes include achieving the best value for money on category spend, meeting annualized and inyear benefits, savings targets, and continuous improvement opportunities.
* Demonstrating the application of a full category management approaching, delivering quantifiable value to the bottom line, interfacing with internal stakeholders to understand and influence business needs.
To be successful in this role, you will be educated to degree level or have the equivalent professional experience / qualifications, relevant experience of working with the category of supply. You will also have:
* Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills.
* Commercial procurement experience.
* Experience in a fast paced, complex environment with a diverse range of stakeholders and customers.
* Demonstratable negotiating skills.
* MCIPS qualification – desirable.
* Experience in the Facilities Management or Construction industry.
