Service Engineer (Southwest based) - IAF An exciting opportunity has arisen for a remote based Service Engineer within our Industrial Service Group. Within our Industrial Service Group – the role will predominantly cover the service requirements of the dust collection equipment with additional requirements for our compressed air, process filtration and other Donaldson filtration equipment. Description The successful candidate will have the desire & attitude to work closely within a team and must be committed and driven to want to develop and progress within their role and potentially longer term within the company. Within the role of a field-based Service Engineer there will be daily travel throughout your allocated region with occasional requirements to travel to the other regions depending on business demands. In addition to this you will be required to travel to our Head Office based in Leicester as and when necessary, together with overnight stays depending on location of the work being carried out. Key responsibilities will be to: Adhering to strict Health and Safety procedures at all times. Assist, support & undertake in all service-related activities within your assigned region, at times there may be a request to work nationwide, supporting colleagues in all areas to maintain, service and test relevant Donaldson/others products. Efficiently arrive at & attend customers sites in a timely and presentable manner. Identify opportunities for service upgrades, spare parts & aftermarket care. Develop and maintain customer relationships. Ensure all required and relevant paperwork is completed and submitted accurately and in a timely fashion. Your Profile: You will need to be able to work well as part of a wider team & when required individually and maintain high levels of professionalism at all times. The successful candidate will have the ability to learn quickly, be open to improving and have a good eye for identifying opportunities. A friendly, proactive, hardworking individual with a “can do” attitude would excel in this role. You will be ideally located in GL, SN, BS, BA postal areas of the UK. Key Attributes: Full Clean UK Driving Licence Willing to travel nationwide Good IT skills Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Responsible attitude with an awareness of health and safety Technical background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering Experience/knowledge of field-based service activity preferably with any aspect of filtration would be a distinct advantage.
