Cleaner Wirral Metropolitan College is looking for a Cleaner to join our Facilities Team. This is a 9.46 hours per week, part-time, permanent role offering a salary of £6351 per annum. Why Join Us? Key Responsibilities: Cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, polishing and dusting of any college area (which will include toilets and shower areas) and fixtures and fittings, using where appropriate, powered equipment. This may also include external entrance and localised pathways in relation to general sweep, and limited litter pick. As part of the job outline, cleaners will be required to report any obvious defects such as blocked toilets, broken fixtures and fittings, etc, to the team leader during the completion of his/her normal duties. Closure periods will normally include all previously listed areas and the cleaning of walls in accordance with the code agreed (RE: Health and Safety at Work) and furniture and stripping and sealing of floors and any other deep cleaning requirements in line with agreed standards Skills and Qualifications: Be committed to work towards BICSc Cleaning Operatives Foundation Certificate or NVQ 1 Level 1 in Cleaning Operations within 6 months of appointment Awareness of general cleaning methods and techniques Understanding of requirements in dealing with staff and public Have an approachable and helpful manner when dealing with clients, staff and students To view the full Job Description and Person Specification please visit our official careers page and locate the vacancy there.
