Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team managing accounting, reporting, and reconciliation of business costs.
* Promote cost control and improve visibility and analysis of key costs.
* Oversee month-end processes, prepare and analyze profit and loss statements, and provide variance analysis.
* Deliver monthly flash forecasts, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts, and review budget holders.
* Ensure compliance with group policies and maintain strong balance sheet controls.
* Manage IFRS16 compliance and act as the main contact for lease accounting.
* Handle internal and external audit requirements.
* Support ad hoc corporate or departmental projects.
Business Partnering:
* Conduct monthly meetings with department heads to discuss results, risks, and opportunities.
* Partner with Area Managers and support Store Managers in understanding financials and KPIs.
Business Improvements:
* Drive efficiency and data-driven decision-making in the department.
* Lead project delivery within deadlines, collaborating with relevant teams.
Team Management and Development:
* Support, train, and coach the team of 3 Retail & Central Analysts.
* Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and appraisals, set objectives, and establish development plans.
* Lead by example to maintain high engagement and service standards.
