Key Responsibilities: Lead a team managing accounting, reporting, and reconciliation of business costs. Promote cost control and improve visibility and analysis of key costs. Oversee month-end processes, prepare and analyze profit and loss statements, and provide variance analysis. Deliver monthly flash forecasts, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts, and review budget holders. Ensure compliance with group policies and maintain strong balance sheet controls. Manage IFRS16 compliance and act as the main contact for lease accounting. Handle internal and external audit requirements. Support ad hoc corporate or departmental projects. Business Partnering: Conduct monthly meetings with department heads to discuss results, risks, and opportunities. Partner with Area Managers and support Store Managers in understanding financials and KPIs. Business Improvements: Drive efficiency and data-driven decision-making in the department. Lead project delivery within deadlines, collaborating with relevant teams. Team Management and Development: Support, train, and coach the team of 3 Retail & Central Analysts. Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and appraisals, set objectives, and establish development plans. Lead by example to maintain high engagement and service standards.
