Salary: £10,643 per annum, supplemented by additional fees for services and events.
Lay Clerks sing at regular daily services as part of the Cathedral Choir and also participate in concerts, recordings, and other events. Currently, a team of 6 Lay Clerks are joined by the Boy and Girl Choristers to provide daily sung worship as detailed in the schedule below. The music department also includes Ely Cathedral Octagon Singers (a voluntary choir) and the Ely Imps (children’s community choir).
We are looking for a skilled musician to join our team of Lay Clerks. The ideal candidate should have ample choral experience of singing Anglican choral repertoire to a high standard, along with advanced sight-reading skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
