Job Overview
St Michael's is looking for two dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistants to support two new pupils, one in Year 6 and one in Year 3 who are joining us. Both children have a diagnosis of ASD and challenging behaviour.
St Michael's is in a unique position whereby we are currently operating 2 rooms as enhanced provisions to support some of our children who would not thrive in a mainstream school classroom. The majority of the children accessing these rooms have a diagnosis of ASD.
Whilst the two new roles are not predominantly based in these rooms, you may be required to support children within the settings. St Michael's has an expectation that all learning support staff work with all children as directed, which may include children who have special educational needs. This role also includes lunchtime cover.
