Sellick Partnership is recruiting an experienced HR Business Partner to join our client based in Bristol. This role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days a week required onsite.
The Ideal HR Business Partner will work in partnership with leaders and key stakeholders to shape, develop and deliver HR strategies to achieve organisational objectives. Furthermore, the ideal HR Business Partner will provide professional and insightful HR advice and guidance to the organisation’s senior leaders, driving HR excellence and fostering a culture of inclusivity and continuous performance improvement.
The duties of the HR Business Partner will include
* Working in partnership with the senior management team and other professionals to develop and deliver a strategic and operational HR Plan consistent with the business plan, HR strategy and HR Plan
* Drive staff engagement levels and embed a positive culture recommending and facilitating improvements in line with the organisation’s initiatives
* Providing a key consultative role in the strategic and operational development of wide-ranging services, drawing on specialist expertise
* Providing confident leadership and clear management to ensure the successful delivery of agreed objectives
* Leading and developing an effective relationships with staff-led groups and trade unions
* Providing professional expertise to leaders and managers on particularly complex/sensitive employee relations issues, promoting best practice in people management
* Providing challenge in leadership discussions, sometimes in face of significant opposition or resistance, to enable transparency and improved decision-making
* Coaching and influencing senior leaders to consider the ethical impact of their decisions, taking a visible lead in solving employee relations
* Embedding a people-centred approach to change management and governance across the council, including building of capability to design and innovate at pace, and create an organisation that is change-ready and change-capable
* Utilising data and emerging research, trends and practice to influence HR initiatives and shape strategy
* Provide professional advice and guidance to senior managers on organisational change, TUPE, job design, policies and procedures, recruitment, equality and diversity, redundancy and staff development
* Identify HR service improvement opportunities within HR operations
* Support the ER team with complex employee relation cases including investigations, appeals, implementation of legal advice and employment tribunal claims
The HR Business Partner will ideally have:
* CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent experience
* Experience of working at a similar level is essential
* Experience of working in a public sector organisation is desirable
* Experience of successfully developing and managing complex change programmes and projects
The HR Business Partner will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently. They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands, whilst working in a high-pressured environment.
