It is a subsidiary of Edvance SAS and part of EDF Group. The proposed position is for the Head of Disciplines, responsible for developing and managing the project and engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects in EPR-E. The Head of Disciplines is a senior leadership position within EPR-E reporting operationally and functionnally to the Chief Operating Officer. The Head of Disciplines is an EPR-E ExCom Member. The EPR-E Disciplines Directorate is responsible for the project and engineering disciplines, and the technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through the integrated teams or within the disciplines. The Head of Disciplines can rely on their Disciplines Mangers to manage the resources, circa 850 staff from different origins (expats, local mother companies, embedded contractors), and work packages contracts. The Head of Disciplines is responsible for developing, maintaining and providing qualified resources, as well as efficient tools and methods to deliver the project activities managed within EPR-E. The Discipline Directorate insures that within EPR-E: necessary EPCC competencies and expertise are developed and maintained. professional standards, methodologies and tools, inspired by industry best practices are consistently implemented within our projects. a culture of quality, performance, simplification and innovation exists within the disciplines. strong project performance is achieved by providing and maintaining the OPEX or “return on experience” (feedback), engineering processes and technical guidelines aligned to the best international standards and practices. “make and buy” strategy is deployed and is efficient. To deliver these missions the Head of Disciplines works closely with: French EDF and FRAMATOME entities, UK EDF Energy and FRAMATOME LTD entities, as well as the partner Alliance. In the frame of the DISC Organisation, the EPR-E Head of Disciplines is part of the DISC “Engineering Directors” Directorate which is in charge of proposing and implementing the new engineering disciplines management for the DISC entities. In the frame of DPC organisation, the EPR-E Head of Disciplines is acting as entry point for competences,operational subjects, OPEX from UK Projects… Finaly, as one of the most senior expat, the EPR-E Head of Disciplines is, on behalf EPR-E CEO, the owner of the EPR-E expat process. PERSPECTIVES Potential roles following a Head of Disciplines role can include a senior leadership position in an Engineering Unit or Large Project.
