About the Role We are seeking a proactive and organised Garage Officer to manage the re-letting and rent collection for garages, parking spaces, and storage sheds across the borough. In this role, you will ensure efficient administration in line with council policies, maintain accurate records, and provide excellent customer service. Experience in managing garages is desirable but not essential, provided you can demonstrate transferable skills that make you a strong candidate for the Garage Officer role. This role is subject to hybrid working, with a combination of office-based work at Bernard Weatherill House, site visits, and remote working. A full UK driving licence is required for site inspections and repossessions. Key Responsibilities: Conduct sign-up interviews for new customers. Manage rent accounts, ensuring timely activation and closure. Serve Notices to Quit and oversee repossession procedures. Carry out regular lone site visits to inspect void garages and report necessary repairs. Coordinate repossession processes in collaboration with relevant partners. Maintain detailed records, including waiting lists and void reports. About You We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload. You should be customer-focused, able to work independently, and committed to delivering high standards of service.
