What is the job role?
Are you passionate about working with children and looking for a flexible part-time opportunity? Our school holiday club is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Holiday Club Assistants - for up to 6 weeks, Monday - Friday, during non-term time. If you enjoy engaging with children, organising activities, and ensuring their safety and well-being, this could be your perfect role!
Responsibilities:
* Assist in organising and implementing a range of fun and educational activities for children aged 5 to 11 years old.
* Supervise and engage with children during indoor and outdoor playtime.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care, following established policies and procedures.
* Support the team in maintaining a positive and inclusive environment.
* Help with snacks and assist children with their packed lunches as needed.
* Communicate effectively with parents, addressing any concerns or questions professionally and promptly.
* Assist with general tidying and cleaning of the club facilities.
Requirements:
* Prior experience working with children in a similar capacity (e.g., school club, summer camp, daycare, etc.) is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills, both with children and adults.
* Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions from a supervisor.
* A positive and energetic attitude with a genuine interest in the well-being and development of children.
* Reliable and punctual, with a flexible schedule to work shifts during school holiday periods.
* A valid first aid certification is a plus but not required (training can be provided).
