* Provide accurate, relevant and timely legal advice on a wide range of legal topics in support of the Anchors & Moorings Business Line.
* Advise on contracts, agreements, and transactions to mitigate legal risks.
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial tenders, contracts and agreements, utilizing both standard templates utilized by Acteon Group and industry standard templates (such as LOGIC, BIMCO, JCT, FIDIC, IMCA) including contracts for the procurement of good and services, equipment rental (mooring spreads) framework agreements, EPC(I) contracts, T&I contracts, Memoranda of Agreements (MoAs), MOUs, confidentiality agreements and the like. With the assistance of Group compliance, responsible for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards that apply to the Anchors & Moorings Business Line.
* Act as a compliance champion within the Business Line, promoting a culture of compliance and integrity.
* Serve as the key liaison and main point of contact for all compliance-related matters within the Business Line.
* Support the provision of relevant training and development activities to enhance the Business Line's knowledge and expertise in compliance matters.
* Assist in the preparation and filing of all export and/or reexport license or authorization applications as well as maintain records of all export/reexport licenses.
* Ultimately responsible for providing support and legal advice in respect of all claims under above types of contracts that arise within the Anchors & Moorings Business Line.
* Manage and resolve disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation, with support of Group legal in accordance with policies and processes.
* Where required by Group CoSec team, support corporate governance activities, including board meetings and corporate filings.
* Managing direct reports (as well as the wider Anchors & Moorings Legal, Contracts and Compliance team) and ensuring they are utilised in supporting the business to meet your goals and that of the wider business.
* Reporting and updating the EVP of the Anchors & Moorings Business Line, Group legal and relevant business stakeholders on key legal issues and risks, including lessons learnt and improvement areas for the business.
* Communicating with and managing certain third-parties such as external counsel, contract lawyers, experts and/or auditors in line with legal services procurement processes (including providing feedback on legal panel performance).
We are seeking a skilled and motivated general practitioner In-House Lawyer to join us as Head of Legal - Moorings and Anchors. The ideal candidate will hold a valid practising certificate in England or Scotland or The Netherlands and preferably have experience in the offshore oil and gas sector and in the renewable energy construction sector to support our operations in relation to the transition to Offshore Floating Wind. The role will report into the EVP of the Mooring & Anchor Business Line with some direct line reports. This role requires a proactive legal professional who can provide a variety of expert legal advice that arise in-house, manage complex legal matters including offshore services contracts, marine construction contracts, engineering contracts, vessel chartering, property, dispute resolution, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations., Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with the company's business activities.
* Strategic Thinking: Capacity to align legal advice with the company's strategic goals and provide proactive, business-oriented solutions.
* Leadership: Aptitude to lead an ambitious and dynamic team as well as contribute to and influence the senior leadership of the Business Line.
