Position: External Account Manager
Location: Covering South East UK
Salary: Up to £50k + benefits + car

The Role:
1. This is predominately an account management role but with some new business.
2. Retain business critical market share at core customers.
3. Actively hunt for new opportunities in developing core customers.
4. Ensure appropriate development strategy is defined for the assigned customer portfolio.
5. Develop strategies and determine activities focused on portfolio customer needs and pain-points.
6. Achieve business and financial outcomes according to expectation for assigned customer portfolio.
7. Maintain and/or develop relationships securing customer commitment.
8. Coordinate specialist support as required fulfilling company commitment.
9. Review results and develop corrective actions securing results delivery according to plan.
10. Provide accurate and timely market information regarding customers and competitors.
11. Support Sales Management in providing accurate forecasts, budgets and targets as required.
12. Engage internal stakeholder function teams with relevant competencies in the needed fields to offer total solutions that fit customer needs.
13. Secure project work for customers engaging required company resources into a project team.
14. Possess basic product and services knowledge and gains thorough knowledge of customer business.
15. Ensure pre-meeting plans and preparations before each customer visit to secure efficient negotiation results.
16. Ensure global and local pricing strategies are executed within all sales activities.
17. Constantly improve knowledge of the company and quality of production, new tools and technologies.
Requirements:
1. Five to Seven years’ experience in sales and marketing management with engineering cutting tools skills and knowledge.
2. Degree or equivalent qualification/experience in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or economics or a related field.
3. Proven track record in delivering good business results.
4. Successful experience from negotiations of commercial terms and conditions with industrial customers.
5. Relevant experience from Account Management or Sales Management.
6. Relevant application knowledge.
7. Project management knowledge and experience is a must.
8. Knowledge and experience of managing external and internal customer relationships.
9. Ability to manage customer requests and business issues effectively within a complex and global organization.
10. Ability to build customer relationships and secure customer service excellence through customers' pain points knowledge.
11. Ability to present and hold negotiations of commercial terms and conditions with all customer's functions.
