The Paediatric Occupational Therapy Service works with children and young people from 0 -19 years in the borough of Bury in a variety of settings including clinics, nurseries, mainstream and special schools. The Service works with children with a variety of conditions including children with co-ordination difficulties, neurological impairments, developmental delay and physical disabilities. Some of the children have complex health care needs. You will perform patient assessments to determine a clinical judgement of the patient's condition/needs. This will ensure that an individualised treatment programme can be developed, implemented, evaluated and modified, ensuring appropriate pathways of care and communication via liaison and referral to other agencies as required.

As a qualified Occupational Therapist you will be responsible for supporting your Manager in ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care. You will offer a person-centred approach to their independence and wellbeing and go the extra mile to ensure compassionate and personalised patient care. Person Specification
HCPC registered:
* Experience in Community Paediatrics
* 2 years post grad experience
* Experience at a band 5 or 6 level
* Access to a car to enable community visits
* Research and development awareness
Essential and Desirable
* HCPC Registered
* Post Registration Experience in Speciality
* Multi-disciplinary working
* Team Player willing to promote the team/service Ethos
* Ability to contribute to Service Development
* Ability to delegate workload and prioritise
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Knowledge of safeguarding children and adults
* Undertake supervision and appraisals of junior staff
