An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 6 Junior Sister / Charge Nurse to join the nursing team working on our Medical Receiving Unit at King George Hospital. Successful applicants will be working with other multidisciplinary Acute Medicine Team, in providing high quality, actively ensuring patient flow, holistic medical care whilst supporting colleagues to raise standards of patient care and be well organised and supporting patient discharge or complex discharges. The post holder will work with the Senior Sister and directly supervise and monitor provision of nursing care in accordance with individual care plans, maintaining high standards of patient care and adhering to trust local policies. We are looking for highly motivated, dynamics and enthusiastic Registered Nurses with post registration and qualification, excellent communication skills, and we invite applications from those nurses who relish the challenge of working within Medicine. Main duties of the job
To provide support to the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in effectively leading and managing the ward, participating in all ward activities as an effective team member, supporting the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse taking the responsibility for the leadership of a team of staff.

These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 88,000 scans a year.
