This exciting role will partner our MD of Wholesale. This broad and diverse HRBP will work in partnership with the Wholesale leadership team to drive a high performing culture. The role holder will require creativity, commercial savviness and be able to drive change at pace in a fast moving market. This role is unique as will partner at MD level, and be the voice of Wholesale in the HR team that supports all of sales. The ideal candidate is someone with ambitions to progress their career and who is willing to be a high challenge and high support trusted advisor to our MD of Wholesale.
You will own and be responsible for business partner relationships supporting the creation of effective people solutions to drive the people agenda, delivering transformational change through organisational design, people performance and organisational skills & capability aligned to the achievement of business strategy and goals.
As part of the Business HR team you will work to design, plan, develop and deliver an integrated, comprehensive, solution-focussed People Plan that enables effective delivery of the business unit plan.
You will work in collaboration with the specialist HR teams within Business, HR Services and the Group COE to deliver, and in some instances help to co-create, HR strategy, policy and process.
What You'll Be Doing
* People Strategy - you’ll be working on solutions to implement the BT People strategy across the business unit to enable the achievement of the strategy and direction of the business.
* People Plans - you’ll partner the business, implementing solutions to enhance employee engagement and to ensure that people plans are integrated with wider HR strategy, policies & priorities.
* Deliver across a range of HR practices such as workforce planning, performance, employee engagement, organisational design and development, and talent & leadership development and employee relations to meet current and future workforce needs.
* Organisational Development & Design: Works with Senior leaders to review the design and augment the business unit operating model so it aligns to the business unit needs and supports its strategic goals
* Culture, Values & Engagement: Works with senior leaders to co-create engagement plans for the business unit. Can articulate how outcomes and risks impact business goals and recommends solutions.
* High performing Teams: Coaches and develops leaders at all levels, manages and mitigates people-related risks to ensure retention of key employees, developing leadership succession plans, managing capability and high performance and overall healthy churn.
* Future Skills and Location Strategy: Works with business unit on plans to have right skills in the right place, at the right time by developing a fully integrated Strategic and tactical workforce plan.
* HR Effectiveness: Brilliantly manages HR activities such as recruitment, resourcing, absence, performance, and employee relations in conjunction with matrixed specialist HR teams to deliver the people plan and its strategy.
* You will be accountable for stewarding, leading and partnering with the business, ensuring all business activities are carried out in a manner which is in accordance with local legislative requirements, within the spirit of these requirements and enhance and protect BT for now and the future
The Skills and Experience You'll Need
* Typically graduate level or corresponding experience, MCIPD or relevant business/professional qualification.
* Thinks and acts commercially: Analytical skills and commercial awareness to evaluate commercial or financial risk, people implications and take action to mitigate where appropriate
* Builds very strong relationships
* Begin and ends with the customer - Personally role models that customers are the reason why we have a business; places the achievement of excellent customer solutions at the heart of the organisation
* Track record of making change happen: Previous experience in HR Business Partnering, leadership, people transformation and cultural change.
* Handles complex and difficult situations with thought and confidence; role models honest and respectful feedback; able to manage multiple stakeholders.
* Data Analytics: uses strong analytical skills and intuition to analyse data and interpret business insights and trends. Uses data to support decision making and develops the best solutions.
* Excellent collaborator and influencer: has a track record to engage, inspire and influence people
* HR Mastery – strong technical HR knowledge and it’s practical application
* Change Management/people transformation and cultural change experience
