The Volkswagen Group UK National Learning Centre is the UK’s largest automotive training facility. Located in Milton Keynes, the centre is home to the Group’s training operations, developing our base of 26,000 retailer learners in the UK. Calex is the supplier of learning services, working in partnership with Volkswagen Group UK.
The role:
The role of Panel and MET Technical Trainer offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a high performing team, developing the skills and knowledge of others and would ideally suit a MET (Mechanical, Electrical, Trim)/Senior MET or Panel Technician looking for the next opportunity, or an automotive technician looking for the next step in their career in training.
Working within modern training environments and using the latest technology and equipment the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of engaging and informative training programs and assessments, along with performing elements of course development and content design.

Key Responsibilities :
5. Delivery of core Panel and MET content, systems and project-based training programmes.
6. To deliver engaging, learner-focused training solutions.
7. Ensure all training delivered is aligned to VWG and individual brand cultures and requirements.
8. Utilise appropriate technology in the delivery of learning interventions, such as e-learning and virtual classrooms & digital solutions.
9. Developing course content necessary for the delivery of new Model Launches.
10. Perform all aspects of the role to the agreed standards set out within yearly objectives
11. Completion of associated administrative tasks in time agreed.
About You:
12. Automotive retail or body repair experience (Essential)
13. Detailed and accurate work ethos
14. Self-motivated
15. Strong problem-solving aptitude and excellent communication skills
16. Proven experience of achieving against challenging performance targets.
17. Logical approach with a high level of numeracy and accuracy
18. Flexible and adaptable; able to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary & Benefits
27. £37,000 if you are new to training with an increase on the successful completion of probation.
28. Up to £39,270 for Service Trainer
29. Up to £40,290 for Diagnostic Trainer
30. Up to £42,000 for Senior Trainer
31. Up to £43,860 for Master Trainer
Experienced trainers will be aligned to the appropriate level from day one.
Plus a car allowance of per month (£3,942 per year).

Pre-employment Checks
Calex will undertake the relevant/standard employment checks with any successful candidate. Employment
The successful candidate will be employed by Calex UK Calex are a specialist automotive training provider and provide training staff and expertise including Trainers, Developers, Digital Learning Experts, and Administrators to Volkswagen Group UK. The successful candidate will join an established team, at the VWG National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes.
Place of Work
VWG National Learning Centre, Wymbush, Milton Keynes.
There will also be times when it may be necessary to work from alternative locations, VWG facilities and retailers, and other sites as necessary to perform the role.
