About the role
We are recruiting for an experienced Crane Driver to work at our new development in Saffron Walden, Essex.
As the Crane Driver, you will take responsibility for the safe lifting of equipment and building materials onsite, by the correct operation of the tower crane.
The Crane Driver will follow the relevant regulations, legislation and manufacturer's technical instructions, practicing safe working methods at all times, from pre-work checks through to the safe completion of works.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the Crane Driver has a responsibility to conduct ongoing risk assessments to ascertain potential dangers, including the welfare of colleagues, contractors, visitors to site and pedestrians, keeping abreast of the impact of works happening on site and other safety issues or disturbances arising such as the impact of weather and swinging loads.
In addition the Crane Driver will take responsibility for carrying out all the necessary maintenance and servicing checks of plant and equipment.
