To help maintain and drive efficiency, SCG are seeking a Field Engineerwith a strong technical background, excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
Joining the Service Assurance team based in Bradley Stoke, Bristol, you will be responsible for attending customer sites to install, maintain and problem-solve system issues as well as assisting with the efficient working of the in-house Service Assurance team whilst delivering exceptional customer service to SCGs customers.
You will play a key role in collaborating with the provisioning and sales teams to ensure solutions are designed and delivered to meet customer expectations, attending attend project meetings and providing regular progress updates to stakeholders throughout the delivery phase.
Field Engineer, the role:
* Installation of Cloud Telephony Systems
* Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, Wi-Fi, VPN, QoS)
* Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
* Monitoring performance and ensuring system availability and reliability
* Providing Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
* Consulting with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Field Engineer, the person:
* Previous Cloud Telephony experience (installation and support)
* Sound understanding of SIP telephony protocol
* Proven hands-on?network engineering experience
* Knowledge of Draytek, Ruckus and UniFi equipment
* Expertise in the OSI or TCP/IP model
* Comfortable with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
* Strong communication skills and high attention to detail
* A passion for customer service and problem solving
* Team player with ability to work independently
