The Role
As a Senior Project Manager or Associate Director, you will take ownership of key projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will also be responsible for leading a team of Project Managers and Assistant PMs, providing mentorship and technical oversight while developing strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Leadership – Manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring smooth execution and client satisfaction.
* Team Management & Mentoring – Lead, support, and develop a team of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
* Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with clients, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams to drive successful project outcomes.
* Strategic Business Development – Support client relationship management and identify opportunities for growth.
* Risk & Compliance Management – Ensure adherence to industry regulations, governance standards, and best practices.
* Financial & Commercial Oversight – Manage project budgets, cost control, and value engineering.
* Contract Administration – Work with JCT, NEC, and bespoke contracts, ensuring legal and financial compliance.
* Process & Performance Improvement – Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and project success.
What We’re Looking For
* Degree in Project Management, Construction, or related discipline (RICS, CIOB, or APM accreditation preferred).
* Strong consultancy-based Project Management experience, with a track record in multiple sectors.
* Leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
* Expertise in JCT and NEC contract administration.
* Proven commercial awareness and client relationship management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
* Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or Asta Powerproject.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
