BOSS Energy have been retained by a leading climate technology company seeking to hire an Operations Electrical Support Engineer for their facility in East Anglia.
Responsibilities
1. Operating and servicing the plant at their first industrial Pilot Plant, Norfolk - the UK's first ever deployment of carbon negative DAC technology.
2. Conducting safe start-up for their DAC modules.
3. Maintain and report on sustained operations over months of plant operations.
4. Following and demonstrating our on-site Health & Safety culture.
5. Assisting with execution of the pilot plant experimental plan in liaison with our Plant Operations Manager.
6. Reporting back on unit performances, especially regular failure modes and input ideas for product improvement.
7. Troubleshooting issues that arise, with good record keeping for required interventions to be passed back to the product improvement team.
8. Get involved in failure analysis, using multiple methodologies to find root causes and propose improvement plans.
9. Executing maintenance routines.
10. Deputising for the Plant Operations Manager in inducting site visitors if needed.
Key Competencies
1. Interest in developing skills in an exciting start-up, new technology environment, where you can rapidly grow your experience.
2. Experience in operations and maintenance, especially commissioning, start-up and maintenance of a variety of electrical units.
3. Experience operating and repairing electrical units.
4. Strong understanding of Reliability, Availability, Maintenance/OEE.
5. 2+ years' experience in the electrical industry.
Nice to Have
1. Experience running and repairing Research & Development pilot facilities.
2. Suitable safety accreditation eg NEBOSH.
3. Lean operational certificate, eg six sigma or equivalent.
4. Continuous improvement training/programme experience.
5. Engineering Level 3 qualification.
6. Good understanding of hazard and risk identification.
