As the Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in pushing mechanical engineering standards within a lean, Total Quality Management (TQM) environment. You won't be content with just maintaining current processes; you'll be tasked with driving significant improvements in performance and reliability across the site. Your key focus areas will include:
Data-Driven Decision Making: Harness engineering data and analytics to predict and prevent potential downtime, ensuring smooth operations and maximising efficiency. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement long-term maintenance strategies that reduce reactive maintenance, providing a proactive approach to asset care. Team Development: Lead and mentor maintenance technicians and contractors, instilling best practices and ensuring your team consistently meets high-performance standards. Advanced Problem-Solving: Tackle complex hydraulic and pneumatic challenges, allowing you to stretch your technical capabilities and deliver innovative solutions. Design & Implementation: Spearhead the design and installation of new mechanical equipment that will enhance production efficiency and contribute to the overall improvement of the site.What You'll Need to Succeed:
Qualifications: Ideally, a degree in mechanical engineering, though HNC/HND qualifications with significant experience will also be considered. Experience: Proven track record in mechanical maintenance within heavy industrial settings. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, with a knack for solving complex engineering challenges.The Package:
