Job Description: The Learning Support Assistant (LSA) will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support students with special educational needs (SEN) or additional learning needs in a secondary school setting. The role involves assisting students in accessing the curriculum, fostering independence, and promoting a positive learning environment. Duties may include one-to-one support, small group work, and general classroom assistance to ensure all students achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Support students with SEN or additional needs in the classroom. Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Encourage student participation and engagement in learning activities. Provide emotional and behavioral support as needed. Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and parents to monitor progress.
