Procurement Manager - Large Infrastructure
Location: Hertfordshire office (2 days a week)
Are you an experienced Procurement Manager passionate about delivering sustainable infrastructure projects? An exciting opportunity awaits to lead procurement strategies for nationally significant water transfer projects in the UK.
About the Role
As the Procurement Manager, you will oversee procurement for two major water resilience projects. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, delivering innovative infrastructure solutions and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Procurement Leadership: Manage procurement schedules and oversee the end-to-end lifecycle for major infrastructure projects.
* Supplier Engagement: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and manage negotiations with stakeholders.
* Risk Mitigation: Identify and address macroeconomic and supply chain risks.
* Project Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with design, delivery, finance, and sustainability teams.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to UK procurement regulations and best practices.
Key Requirements
* Experience in PFI/PPP procurement within infrastructure, ideally the water sector.
* Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and regulated environments.
* Proven negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
* Accreditation in procurement (CIPS or equivalent) or substantial relevant experience.
* Strong communication and project management capabilities.
