Kiwa CMT is seeking an experienced Site Geotechnical Technician to join our team. This role primarily involves on-site work at various construction projects, with some duties based in our Derby laboratory. You will be responsible for conducting high-quality testing services mainly around the Midlands, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Overview:
* Carry out geotechnical site and laboratory testing
* Maintaining competency/authorisation for the necessary range of test procedures
* Ensure equipment is in current calibration and pre-test checks are completed
* Ensure that test equipment is checked regularly and functioning correctly, and that any failures, defects or damage is reported
* Use and maintain equipment with all due care and ensure that weekly checks are carried out
* Ensure that all necessary test information, results and QC data are recorded in the manner required by current procedures
* Maintain good site working practice at all times
Responsibilities:
* Experience in geotechnical testing
* Knowledge and experience of site and lab-based geotechnical test methods
* The ability to support training and development of other technicians
* Ability to calibrate test equipment
* Motivated and focussed, with a positive outlook/approach
* Be able to work with a varied workload
* Communication is key for this role; you will be able to make an impact and work well within a team
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Hold a full UK driving licence
* Holds CSCS card
Qualifications:

* 38.75 hours per week: Monday to Friday, primarily site-based with some work at the Derby laboratory. Opportunity for paid overtime, with occasional weekend work required
