Role Overview:
Our site in Carlisle is a key part of our Meals Solutions division, employing around 1100 people and producing a wide range of ready meals and chilled foods for major retailers.
It is a complex, fast-paced business and as Site Director you will have full P&L ownership and be responsible for developing and leading site strategy. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading your senior management team, empowering them to deliver their objectives and ensure all short, medium, and long-term objectives and targets are achieved.
* Providing strong leadership to deliver operational excellence, contribute to divisional strategy, and ensure the provision of high levels of customer service at all times.
* Developing and maintaining strong business relationships with customers and suppliers.
* Ensuring site financial targets are achieved by delivering improvement plans to reduce costs of production and managing capital investment.
* Driving development, communication, and employee engagement across the site.
* Ensuring a safe working environment through the implementation of an effective site Health & Safety strategy.
About You:
* Previous experience of leading a large, complex, chilled foods manufacturing business (c.800 employees or more) with a diverse, unionised workforce.
* Exceptional leadership skills, able to coach and develop senior managers to drive performance, process improvements, change management, and staff engagement.
* Experience of lean manufacturing and operational excellence.
* Able to operate at a strategic level, while also engaging with colleagues at all levels across the business.
* Demonstrable experience of full P&L responsibility.
* Results driven with strong commercial acumen.
