Commencing salary: $80,243 p.a. plus 17% superannuation About the area Technical Services, within College Services, provides specialised technical support to UWA’s schools. This role sits within the Digital Media team, focusing on teaching, technical training, and equipment loans office support across Communication and Media Studies and Electronic Music and Sound Design. The team is dedicated to creating an engaging and industry focused learning environment with efficient use of resources to enhance the University’s strategic objectives. About the opportunity Train staff and students in the use of specialist equipment (video and audio production). Provide a high level of customer service to the equipment loans office and manage a large number of assets and users in an online booking system. Maintain and service digital media equipment and assist with the procurement of consumables and small equipment to support teaching outcomes. About you Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience in technical support. Relevant experience working in or with the Digital Media Industry, including an interest in training others. Experience with digital video and recording equipment, including cinema cameras, audio gear, lighting and recording studios. Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, Audition, After Effects; and Microsoft Office. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently, set priorities and meet deadlines.
