Being a Samples Team Leader, you will be a part of the Sense Colour Team working on-site in Overseal, Derbyshire and reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager. The Overseal site is a manufacturer of Food Ingredients.
The hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday.
Purpose
Under close guidance, provide logistics support to the Sampling organisation with regards to inventory, production, labelling, shipment, tracking and delivery of samples.
You will:
1. Operate systems (SAP, LCMS, Atlas) to access customer orders, products/ingredients stock availability and prepare shipments.
2. Gather ordered samples and control that encapsulation, containers/dispensers, product labels, and packaging comply with product safety and transportation regulations.
3. Prepare all necessary technical documentation required for transportation and customs clearance (for international shipments).
4. Monitor sample stocks and product rotation and dispose of obsolete materials.
5. Track sample shipments to customers.
6. Collaborate with Supply Chain, Logistics, Customer Care, Manufacturing, C&A and Commercial to solve customer complaints related to e.g. product availability and quality and shipping delays.
7. Return excess/rejected samples to appropriate team and follow up on any missing/outstanding samples.
You have:
1. Vocational diploma (pre-university level) in Technical Engineering, Chemistry or related discipline.
2. 2 to 4 years of experience in logistics in a manufacturing environment.
3. Experience in (fine) chemistry or consumer goods industry.
4. Knowledge of logistics and distribution processes.
5. Experience with product industrialization.
6. Knowledge of product safety and transportation regulations.
7. Knowledge of customs regulations.
8. Good command in SAP, LCMS, ATLAS and GSD applications.
