Since 1989, we have been supplying and installing doors for satisfied customers nationwide. We're not just your average e-commerce retailer, we win our orders through detailed, unbiased and focused technical help and advice for all trade and retail clients.
You: A Technical Salesperson, ideally with experience, with a knack for handling a wide range of duties and a keen eye for detail.
The Role
No cold calling. You'll be responsible for advising customers over the phone about our vast range of garage door types, models, sizes, and technical differences. You'll assist customers in making decisions that suit their needs, budget, and lead times. Your role will also entail following up on provided quotations and managing the customer journey from the initial enquiry to after-sales duties.
Applicants with technical or practical/surveying/building background prior to entering sales are encouraged to apply.
N.B. Appropriate training will be provided in-house and with manufacturers.
What you could be doing
Your work will span the breadth and depth of our sales operations, including:
* Talking to trade/public on the phone advising on garage doors that suit their sizes, specification, budget and lead times.
* Using CRM, emailing detailed and accurate quotations and technical advice.
* Following up quotations provided (no cold calling) by phone and email.
* Managing the customer journey from initial enquiry, advice, over the phone and written quotations, order processing, delivery, installation and after sales duties, including any warranties.
* Chasing and updating orders with manufacturers.
* Liaising between customers, fitters and suppliers about installation details. You’ll be required to build and maintain strong working relationships with all our installers and suppliers.
* Entering sales on sales ledger and all other general sales and admin duties that occur in a small, busy family business.
What you’ll bring
* Ideally experience in sales, and/or experience in engineering, construction, education etc that has equipped you with technical problem-solving ability and ability to clearly communicate technical and cost details of a wide range of garage doors.
* Strong technical aptitude. Good IT skills would be a distinct advantage as the role could include website work, and solving day to day IT issues in the office etc.
* The ability to adapt and show initiative in a small hardworking team.
* Detail-oriented mindset across all duties, ensuring accurate order placements and efficient sales processes.
* Excellent telephone manner for assisting customers and following up on quotations (no cold calling).
* An open mindset towards mentorship and training.
* A genuine desire to learn the products and the business.
Even better if you have
* Advanced IT skills or website updating experience.
* Experience in a similar industry or product category.

- Final Interview: We'll dive deeper into your experiences, goals, motivations, and skills.
