The Network & Acquiring Solutions (NAS) organization at American Express powers global payments, working across business units and with key industry stakeholders. We tackle critical challenges like securing online transactions and driving innovation in payment solutions.
The Network Delivery group is modernizing our network with products like Debit, QR, Tokenization and Account to Account payments, enabling expansion into new markets, customer acquisition, and regulatory compliance.
How will you make an impact in this role?
As a Discovery & Business Architecture Senior Manager, youll bridge the gap between business and technology by interpreting business requirements into capability needs for technical delivery. Youll solve complex problems, assess alternative solutions, and design innovative deliverables that align with strategic goals. Youll also build relationships across teams, influence stakeholders, and present insights to senior leadership.
Key focus areas for the team are building the Business Architecture for the Acquirer and Network Business, and developing Business Analysis for long term opportunities in the Network.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with business partners to define scope, value, and strategic alignment of priorities
2. Lead transformational initiatives, enhancing and introducing new network capabilities
3. Present complex ideas clearly to senior leadership
4. Provide consultancy on network ecosystems, capabilities and discovery best practices
5. Deliver solutions with business and technology partners
Minimum Qualifications:
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to clearly articulate complexities
7. Experience in business transformation and Agile frameworks
8. Excellent communication and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
9. Strong collaboration, presentation and influencing skills
10. Proven experience driving results in a global environment
11. Payments industry experience is preferred but not essential
