Marketing and Communications Executive (104723-0225)
We’re looking for a Marketing and Communications Executive to join our friendly, expanding team at WMG, an academic department at the University of Warwick.
The successful candidate will sit within the Corporate Marketing Team, as a copywriter and content creator. Across the wider marketing team, you’ll act as Marketing Co-ordinator collating the weekly updates for exec and ensuring the Marketing One Plan is up to date and accurate.
You’ll be working with a range of colleagues across the department, including academics, senior administrative staff, tutors, and fellow marketing and communications colleagues, to craft engaging content for the website, press releases, social media, internal communications, brochures, videos, and more.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
About You
The Marketing and Communications Executive will be responsible for turning technical academic information into impactful content, in line with WMG’s brand guidelines and tone of voice, to gain exposure for research and teaching activities.
When creating content, you’ll need to build relationships with stakeholders of varying seniority. Significant experience of copywriting and editing are essential, as well as excellent communication skills and a professional working style.
The right individual will have experience of planning content for campaigns and website and will have experience in developing creative content for a wide range of marketing channels through the use of graphics and video content.
Working in an extremely fast-paced environment, the successful candidate is required to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Ideally, you will be educated to degree level. Experience of working in higher education is desirable, but not essential.
