Job Summary:
The Electrical Operations/Project Manager will oversee electrical engineering projects related to water treatment, distribution, and infrastructure development. This role involves managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Location:
Office based in Portsmouth - with travel expected to sites across the South Coast, UK

Reports To:
Managing Director
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Management:
o Develop project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
o Create detailed project plans and schedules.
o Coordinate resources and manage project timelines.
2. Technical Oversight:
o Provide technical guidance on electrical design and systems for water facilities.
o Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
3. Budget Management:
o Prepare and manage project budgets.
o Monitor expenses and report on financial performance.
4. Team Leadership:
o Lead and mentor engineering and project teams.
o Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
5. Quality Assurance:
o Conduct project inspections and ensure compliance with specifications.
o Review and approve design documents and engineering drawings.
6. Risk Management:
o Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
o Resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
o Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Project Manager within the Water Industry or a similar field.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, BS7671 & specifications relating to the water industry.
* Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., Tradify, Simpro).
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a bonus, but not essential.
The Candidate:
* Hold a full UK driving license.
* Hold a valid ECS card/CSCS Card.
* Have proficient IT skills.
* Have demonstrated and documented experience in a Project Management/Project Engineering or similar role.
* The successful candidate must be an experienced electrician and have managerial experience.
* Experience within Water or Industrial electrical industries.
* Live a commutable distance from Portsmouth, UK.
The Benefits:
* Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum.
* 28 days of annual leave, including bank holidays.
* Pension after successful completion of probation period (3 months).
* Supply of laptop, uniform, car allowance, and PPE.
