An exciting opportunity has arisen within our high-performing team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual with a proven record of engaging adult learners.
The School of Language, Literacy and Numeracy are looking for an experienced and suitably qualified tutor, with a degree in English or diploma in teaching adult literacy to join our outstanding teaching team.
The successful candidate will teach across Functional Skills English and GCSE English and preferably have the potential to teach across all levels. Our adult provision includes college and community-based courses that run during the day and evenings from pre-entry to GCSE. There may be the opportunity in the future to teach ESOL learners.
This role would be suitable for someone with an understanding of adult learners and the ability to deliver innovative learning opportunities to meet their needs.
We welcome applications from experienced and newly qualified teachers, who can demonstrate their enthusiasm and have a desire to work with adult learners. FE or community teaching experience and a formal teaching qualification is desirable, although if you are willing to obtain your teacher training qualifications, we would also like to hear from you.
The successful applicant will need to be available to work across our Watford and Hemel Hempstead Campuses. This is a part time role working 14.8 hours per week (0.4fte).
