Ackerman Pierce is currently recruiting for a Senior Social Worker/AMHP to join The Hub in Bromley, a partnership between the London Borough of Bromley and Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment, offering direct pathways between primary and secondary mental health care.
The Role:
As a Senior Social Worker in The Hub, you will:
Provide professional supervision to a team of social workers.
Undertake or support complex initial assessments both on-site and in the community.
Act as the Safeguarding Adults Manager (SAM) within the team.
Provide expert advice on the Care Act, safeguarding, and advanced practice.
Work with a small, short-term caseload (up to 12 weeks) supporting residents to remain in primary care.
Participate in a centralised AMHP service on-site at Green Parks House every 5-6 weeks, supported by an experienced AMHP manager.
Desirable but not essential: Practice Educator qualifications (training for PEPS1 and PEPS2 will be provided as part of your professional development).
Requirements:
Social Work Qualification (DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
AMHP Qualification.
Current Social Work England registration.
Strong knowledge of the Care Act, safeguarding procedures, and mental health legislation.
Ability to provide leadership and supervision within a professional social work team.
