About the Role
As the Safeguarding & Inclusion Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, welfare, and inclusion of all students. Reporting directly to the Assistant Headteacher (DSL), you will act as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), managing day-to-day safeguarding concerns, supporting vulnerable students, and collaborating with a range of stakeholders to foster an inclusive and supportive school environment.

Position Details:
Location: Sheffield
Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week x 41 weeks per year
Pay scale: £37,536.08 to £40,429.66 (under 5 years of service) per annum
Essential Requirements
* Advanced safeguarding training to undertake the role of a Deputy DSL or willing to undertake this
* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Skills
* Extensive knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Proven experience in managing high-risk safeguarding cases.
* Ability to use safeguarding platforms like CPOMS effectively.
* Understanding of Prevent Duty, FGM, and CSE.
* Competence in staff training and development.
* Experience working collaboratively with external agencies.
Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day safeguarding operations and manage high-risk cases.
* Make referrals to external agencies, including Social Care, LADO, and Police.
* Support staff with safeguarding concerns and referrals.
* Maintain accurate records using systems like CPOMS.
* Co-ordinate intervention programs in collaboration with curriculum leaders and external agencies.
* Line manage Safeguarding Officers, Attendance Officers, and Well-being staff.
* Develop and deliver safeguarding training for staff.
* Ensure compliance with "Keeping Children Safe in Education" guidelines
* Regularly review and update safeguarding policies in collaboration with the DSL.
* Work with local authorities, Virtual Schools, and social services to support CLA and vulnerable students.
