United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) are seeking highly motivated Estates Maintenance Craftperson - Electrical Bias who will be based in the Estates department at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston. The post holder required to play a proactive part within the Estates Maintenance team to meet Trust objectives in a safe, cost effective, efficient manner in compliance with legislation and good practice.

Main duties of the job
Job Responsibilities
* Responsible for maintenance service regime in area of own responsibility.
* Carry out duties such as repairs, fault finding and diagnosis and a variety of equipment.
* Advise on matters relating to Estates maintenance.
* Challenge traditional practice, seeking improved methods of task delivery which improve quality, safety and working practices.
* Plan, diagnose and repair faults on engineering plant as directed
* Ensure that there is optimal utilisation of the Trust’s assets within the area managed, expediting the efficient use of the asset to support clinical activity.
* Be aware of the financial impact from own work and help to maintain a balanced position, ensuring cost effective services are planned and organised to maximise high quality and effective service delivery, maintenance and focused on achieving statutory compliance.
* Support the development of team roles through mentoring and shadowing, allowing the teams to learn from your technical skills.
* Maintain accurate records for reactive and planned activities.
Personal Skills/Qualities
* Able to work independently and make decisions based on analysis of information.
* Able to plan, organise and manage own work activities.
* Able to Drive and have a Valid full UK driving Licence or applicable UK approved Driving Licence
Qualifications
* Appropriate City and Guilds Qualification or equivalent
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
* Served an apprenticeship or other recognised training
* Qualification in portable appliance testing
* City and Guilds 2382-10
* 18th Edition IEE Wiring regulations (B.S.7671)
* Good understanding of electrical maintenance and installation
* Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
* Flexible approach
* Good communication - written and oral
* Be prepared to work flexible hours as required by the needs of service
* UK Driving licence
Previous Experience
* Experience in the maintenance of Electrical plant and services and fault finding
* Experience of maintenance in a hospital environment. In particular: - Air conditioning, refrigeration, fire alarms, building management systems, nurse call systems, standby power supplies
