The Technical Services Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining effective management systems and procedures in the delivery and continuity of service of mechanical, electrical, transport, and public health services to tenants, while protecting and enhancing landlord assets within the building/estate. The role involves contract management, organizing meetings with contractors, monitoring plant and system performance, conducting random checks, reviewing contractor reports, and carrying out regular audits and inspections. The successful candidate will have a background in electrical or mechanical engineering, at least five years of experience as a Technical/Engineering Services Manager, and additional training such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or further education in an engineering discipline. Key duties include ensuring compliance with current legislation and recommended standards, verifying contractor risk assessments, managing water treatment regimes, and providing day-to-day technical support to building managers and occupiers. The role also involves budget control, preparation of specifications, raising orders/instructions/contracts, verifying invoices, and developing environmental and energy conservation programs.
