A well-regarded SEN school in Bridgend is looking for a Behaviour Mentor with experience in sports to join their team. Your Role: Use sports and physical activities to inspire and promote positive behaviour. Provide mentoring to individuals and small groups of students with additional needs. Support students in managing behavioural challenges by building resilience and coping strategies. Work closely with teaching staff to develop personalised behaviour support plans. Be a positive role model, fostering teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. About You: Experience working with young people, ideally within an SEN or educational setting. A strong foundation in sports coaching, physical education, or related fields. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with students, staff, and families. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour support. Knowledge of behaviour management strategies (training can be provided). Requirements: Relevant experience in sports coaching or education. A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs. An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one through the agency). Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
