Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our caring team at a well-established Nursing Home in Lincoln. This is a part-time night shift role with 1.5 shifts per week, offering competitive pay of £19.00 per hour with paid breaks. You will work closely with the Deputy Manager to provide the best care for residents, taking on responsibilities that include overseeing medication rounds, leading care activities, and working independently during your shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Medication Management: Oversee medication rounds, ensuring the safe and correct administration of treatments and medications to residents.
* Resident Care: Provide high-quality, compassionate care to elderly residents, supporting them with daily activities and maintaining their dignity and comfort.
* Care Planning: Assist with developing, implementing, and reviewing individual care plans for residents, ensuring all needs are met.
* Independence: Work autonomously and effectively as this is a part-time, night shift position, with responsibility for leading the shift without supervision.
* Clinical Oversight: Perform nursing assessments, manage medical conditions, and monitor the physical and mental well-being of residents.
* Leadership: Work alongside the Deputy Manager to ensure smooth care delivery and operational efficiency. Provide leadership to junior staff and nursing assistants.
* Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all care is provided in line with CQC standards, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with NMC guidelines.
Essential Requirements:
* Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a RGN, RMN, or RNLD in a nursing home setting.
* Experience with medication rounds and the ability to administer treatments and manage medications.
* Ability to work independently during night shifts and manage care effectively without supervision.
* Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to delivering the highest quality care to elderly residents.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
* Nursing Home experience is essential, particularly with elderly care or mental health support.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with mental health care, particularly in a nursing home environment.
* Leadership or supervisory experience.
* Knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding procedures.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour or complex care needs.
