MRP Packaging Planner Blackburn, Lancashire Full-time, Permanent (Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm) We are recruiting an MRP Packaging Planner to work alongside our Raw Materials MRP Controller to manage packaging stock levels and ensure the correct packaging is in the right place at the right time for our production plans. Who are we looking for? Do you thrive on meticulous organisation and possess impressive IT skills, including hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems? The MRP Packaging Planner will be responsible for managing packaging stock levels, ensuring smooth production operations, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. This role involves coordinating with various departments, monitoring deliveries, and producing detailed reports to optimise our packaging processes. To do this, you'll need to have excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate effectively and cross-functionally - mainly with procurement, production, finance and warehousing. Previous experience in either a production/operations role or even a procurement/commercial role would be a great advantage The role of an MRP Packaging Planner at BBF Ensure uninterrupted production by managing site packaging stocks within budget and warehouse capacity. Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships. Monitor delivery status, ensuring on-time and in-full (OTIF) deliveries, and resolve delivery issues. Coordinate with the warehouse to manage incoming deliveries and address non-deliveries. Generate and distribute weekly/monthly forecast reports internally and externally. Collaborate with suppliers to produce and update weekly stock sheets, agree on print runs, and place necessary orders within contracts. Update print run trackers and manage packaging launches, addressing order and delivery issues in advance. Monitor delisted materials to reduce waste and challenge sales forecasts to minimise liability. Review and update packaging artwork trackers and Horizon spreadsheets. Produce and monitor supplier service reports. Maintain the ERP system, resolving BOM/SKU errors and improving the MRP process and system. Coordinate with BBF 3PL warehouse providers to ensure accurate stock booking and communication for deliveries. Provide backup support for the raw material MRP controller. Who are BBF Limited?
