Full Time
East Grinstead/Bristol/Hybrid (3 days/week in the office)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager at Rolls-Royce Power Systems in East Grinstead or Bristol.
In this role you will provide commercial support, advice and expertise to the growing RRS UK business, predominantly in the Defence area. This role will have the responsibility for commercial management of contracts with customers from the start of the bidding phase through to execution and closure.
What you will be doing:
In this interesting role you will look after:
* End-to-end commercial responsibility in projects from the bidding phase to project execution (order-to-cash management) as well as related service set up; including active opportunity and risk management.
* Commercial support in the bid/contract initiation phase with special attention to the commercial risk profile of the project proposals, including commercial contract review and processing of inquiries.
* Comprehensive commercial support of the projects, e.g. with regard to cash and receivables management; commercial resolution of disputes and claims; management of change orders on contracts; customer commercial documentation and correspondence.
* Conducting customer negotiations on supplementary offers and claims.
* Cooperation in the project team with close involvement of the project manager, project controlling, the legal department, order management, purchasing and contract management.
* Implementation of commercial processes and improvement and development of existing processes and systems in commercial management.
Who we're looking for:

* Successfully completed bachelor's and/or master's degree in the commercial field with a technical interest, e.g. industrial engineering, business administration or similar.
* Experience in project system business / direct customer business.
* Experience in processing customer orders and preparing offers.
* Very good written and spoken English skills.
* Ability to work in a team and a business-fluent appearance.
* Strong customer orientation, communication and presentation skills.
* Previous experience of working on UK Ministry of Defence contracts, including Single Source Regulations Office contract.
