Responsibilities
* To maintain exemplary working relationships with stakeholder groups, external agencies and voluntary organisations.
* To assist the Principal NNDR & Database Officer in the monitoring of services against performance assessment criteria, by correcting interpreting information and evidence provided for liability matters and applications for relief’s exemptions etc.
* To provide excellent customer service to NNDR customers across all channels including the NNDR contact centre.
* Have an excellent understanding of NNDR legislation in relation to, billing and collection, mandatory and discretionary reliefs, maintaining the database and all recovery aspects.
* To prepare accounts for write offs (bad debt etc) and raise refund requests including statement of accounts.
* To represent the service on residents direct related issues involving members of the public, external agencies, and other Council Departments, developing contracts and SLA’s as appropriate and writing and presenting reports as required.
* To liaise with the valuation office agency, raising Billing Authority reports and providing the necessary information is exchanged.
* To liaise with the property inspectors in all matters relating to the maintenance of the property databases.
Contract
* Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
* PAYE via Umbrella
* Work from Home with a small chance of needing to go into office and even less of a court appearance (Westminster).
* Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract with the opportunity to extend
Requirements
* Excellent knowledge of NNDR legislation and regulations.
* Experience of using the Academy database.
* Will need own lap top as link to the council's system will be sent to the successful candidates
* Experience working in housing associations or council
