Responsibilities:
* As our new IT Apprentice, you will be responsible for:
* Managing Smoothwall filters and performing password resets to ensure secure and efficient access for users
* Creating and implementing group policies to streamline user management and system configurations
* Safeguarding students by monitoring and enforcing e-safety protocols
* Updating classroom software to support effective teaching and learning
* Interpreting security policies, technical specifications, and network diagrams to maintain system integrity
* Tracking Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and escalating issues as necessary
* Maintaining an audit trail through email logs and the Aris ticketing system
* Providing support via face-to-face interactions, phone, email, and Microsoft Teams
* Utilizing tools such as Command Prompt, Ping, and Angry IP Scanner to troubleshoot network issues
* Engaging with our comprehensive IT Service Management (ITSM) Helpdesk System to address and resolve technical problems
* Gaining exposure to firewalls, switches, and routers, and updating hardware components like CPUs, RAM, and GPUs
* Installing and configuring software, adding user accounts, and managing access permissions
* Working with platforms including Office 365, Windows, Google Classroom, and Azure

The apprenticeship program offers a salary of £20,277 per annum, with working hours from Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.
