National Planning Manager Nuneaton £67,500 per annum, plus car / car allowance, 33 days holiday, pension, bonus, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme About the Job As National Planning Manager you will be responsible for arranging the delivery of the customer’s product on time and in full using the most cost-effective means and best use of available resources, whilst complying with Transport Legislation and Health & Safety. You will ensure maximisation of the utilisation of the Fleet through efficient planning of deliveries and collections as well as maximised utilisation of Unipart drivers in line with current driver’s hours and WTD legislation. You will also provide analytical insight into the performance of the fleet based on the planning and execution and develop initiatives in parallel. As part of your key responsibilities you’ll: Plan all customer deliveries utilising the software available at site to ensure delivery windows are met. Planning daily workload for a fleet nationally Implement new operating processes Develop back haul lanes and support in the planning of supplier collections across the fleet. Source appropriate and cost effective sub-contractors to ensure any additional volume is serviced in line with the contractual arrangement. Complete a late load report in line with operational requirements and deadlines. Ensure loads meet safety standards. Own metrics and performance indicators related to initiatives to measure overall performance and provide foundation for value creation Communicate in a clear, precise, and regular format with all partners and stakeholders, including ongoing project status reports Administer flow of information to ensure invoices and claims can be quickly and effectively reconciled.
