Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Inclusion Manager Required to start January 2025 Band G / H, Full Time, Permanent, 34 hours per week We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated teaching assistant, who feels that they are able to make a real difference here at Barnston Primary School. We are keen to hear from individuals who will support our aims and ethos and who are willing to work as part of a friendly team. Experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Your key duties and responsibilities will be: implement and adhere to all school policies and guidelines; support initiatives decided by the Headteacher and senior staff; support mental health across the school, to carry out small group activities and one to one sessions; keep appropriate and efficient records, this should be true of safeguarding and attendance; to support the staff team with their well-being, to be available to the team and foster a happy working environment; work with phase teachers to track the progress of individual children and intervene where pupils are not making progress due to personal circumstances; report to parents on the development, attendance and behaviour of pupils; promote the school's code of conduct amongst pupils, in accordance with the school's behaviour policy; communicate and co-operate with specialists from outside agencies; make effective use of ICT to enhance learning and teaching; nurturing positive relationships at all times; work with the SENDCo to ensure that individual pupils receive appropriate support; set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance; and attend and participate in open evenings and after school events. The successful applicant will have strong literacy and numeracy skills; be enthusiastic, proactive and engaging; be able to provide effective support for learners through strong knowledge and experience of the curriculum. They will be able to apply knowledge of mental health across the school to support learners to be the best they can be. They will have a firm understanding of Wirral's attendance policy and support the SLT team to deliver it in a supportive way.
