We have a current opening for an experienced hands-on 1st - 3rd Line Support Engineer in Belfast The client has chosen Windows365 as an effective replacement for the on-premise desktop infrastructure. The program is delivering multiple workstreams including physical laptop/MAC and virtual desktop migrations.
The Role:
The ideal candidate must have previous Windows desktop experience, latterly within Virtual Desktop (VDI) solutions on Windows. This is a highly technical, hands on Support Engineering role and would suit someone from a developer background.

Requirements:
* Platform Management. Maintenance and updates of project migration tooling and associated technology components. SQL, Backup, Patch Management, software updates and Azure platform updates.
* Provisioning of users to Windows365 and required applications.
* Understanding of Proxy solutions, ideally Zscaler.
* Revoke, Retire and Return process management. Managing the scheduling and tracking of the device revocation process
* Change Management. Submission, representation and approval process for all change controls raised.
* Windows365, Citrix and AVD VDI SME. Technical support and 4th line escalation point for any issues associated with Windows Virtual Desktop platforms.
* Incident/Resolver team lead experience. Issue categorisation and consolidation to identify priority issues and push through resolution.
* Strong understanding of desktop solutions (specifically Windows) with experience in infrastructure/server engineering
