THE ROLE
As a Senior Gameplay Programmer, you will be expected to help us explore, create, and deliver world-leading innovation in software and VR hardware in our studio.
You will work with cutting edge technologies on new platforms and VR headsets and be able to prototype and iterate gameplay mechanics and game systems. You will be responsible for the quality of gameplay of our next VR game which is a globally recognised leading game within its genre, so a fantastic opportunity that cannot be missed to work on such a large title.
Working alongside our highly talented and skilled designers and artists, you will be contributing your skills to bring the game to life for the player.
REQUIRED SKILLS
* Strong communicator, able to work closely with designers, artists and product owners
* Pragmatic problem solver able to work with minimal supervision
* Shipped a successful game on Unreal Engine
* Strong experience in C++ development as well as a good understanding of Blueprint
* Comprehensive understanding of combat design, covering player/enemy interactions, encounter design, enemy design, and AI
* Experience with full-cycle development
* Experience and skills at delivering games with quality gameplay mechanics
* 5+ years of professional game development experience
* Bachelor degree in computer science, or equivalent industry experience
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
* VR development experience on Quest, Vive, or comparable flagship headsets
* Experience with Gameplay Ability System (GAS)
* Experience with State Trees
* Experience with EQS
* Experience with Unreal's animation system
* Experience with games with a strong melee element
