What You Will Be Doing
On an Undergraduate Placement, over 12 months, you will develop a broad understanding of the Software function, creating cutting-edge software for our hardware and being involved in the entire lifecycle of a product, from design and development to integration. You will work closely with Electronic and Systems engineers to enable the development of complex real-world systems that must perform perfectly every time, as the consequences of failure can be catastrophic.
We encourage involvement in projects outside your primary remit, seeking stretch projects that provide different experiences. Additionally, we encourage involvement in community projects, STEM initiatives, and support groups (employee resource groups) for valuable learning and development experiences beyond your day-to-day role.

Specific Activities
You will be allocated to an engineering project team, expected to address engineering issues through tasks like requirements evaluation, problem-solving, deliverable presentation, data information dissemination, meeting and note-taking, report writing, presentation preparation, and cost, schedule, and risk analysis.
Skills
As a minimum requirement, you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s in Computing, Computer Science, or IT networks-related subject; Maths; Physics. To be considered for this role, you must be returning to university to complete your degree.
