Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and assistance to individuals ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Candidates will be required to communicate using British Sign Language and therefore must have a level 2 or above qualification for this role.
Duties
* Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
* Support clients with medical appointments
* Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
* Uphold health and safety standards while providing care, including knowledge of first aid procedures.
Qualifications
* Level 2 or above in British Sign Language.
* Previous experience in care roles preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
* Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
* Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
