Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a 3D Process Simulation Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team. As part of the Virtual Manufacturing team, you will be responsible for analysing product and process design feasibility using virtual manufacturing toolsets and methods. Your primary focus will be supporting the optimisation of processes, tooling, and facilities from concept to delivery.
Responsibilities:
* Analysis of new product concepts and processes.
* Recording and creating models of current facilities ahead of new model actions.
* Leading robust Process design, considering tool selection, Bill of Process and ergonomic conditions
* Ensure that all data delivered (both product and tooling) is robust, meets expectations and is properly managed.
* Manage the creation of Simulation models of all processes increasing in detail though the virtual series and into the Industrialisation phases (Design, Integration) of a programme.
* Support the optimisation of facilities to meet safe operating requirements ensuring man-machine interfaces are properly developed.
* Drives resolution of issues and feeding into feasibility status
Required Experience:
* Automotive Robotic and Manual Process Simulation
* Manufacturing Engineering Processes.
* Understanding of Ergonomics and Robotics
* Comprehensive MS office
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
